21st Thing: A Recipe
This past 2 weeks I always had a slice of toast with Nutella on top of it for breakfast. Heaven. :D
I got some Nutella recipes everywhere but I really want to try this recipe out. It's simple but it seems very decadent and heart-warming... (also mood-boosting, hahaha)
Reblogged from this great site, Big City, Little Kitchen, here's The Ultimate Nutella Hot Chocolate recipe.
- 1 cup whole milk (feel free to substitute skim, rice, almond, etc)
- 3 tb Nutella or other chocolate-hazelnut spread
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 tsp high-quality cocoa powder
- 1 or more marshmallows
- pinch of espresso powder (optional)
In a heavy-bottomed sauce pan over a low flame, whisk together the milk, Nutella, cocoa powder, and espresso (if using). Add cinnamon stick. Simmer for about 5 minutes, to allow flavors to meld.
Serves one, generously.
As soon as I try it out, I'll let you know. I promise.

20th Thing: A Hobby of Mine
I love food, I love trying new food, I love trying new recipe...
I found my self very calm during the process of making something. It's kind of therapeutic. Although I'm still an amateur for this, I love cooking for people I love.
I also appreciate home cooking so much because for me food has always been important to people and their home and families. I'd like to know what kind of food a family would have daily. And most importantly, what's the story behind every meal.
It's been 3 months since I got employed, and can you imagine how I miss my therapeutic session in the kitchen? I am totally missing it! I tried to cook but it didn't work out. I'm always too busy, or too exhausted to cook. Maybe next weekend? Hopefully.

The Princess and The Frog
Sebulan kemudian... film The Princess and The Frog rilis di Indonesia.
19th Thing: A Talent of Mine
I love... writing, cooking, baking, playing piano...
But I can't tell what talent I've got...
And.. oh... blogging in the middle of the night with tired mind (and eyes) is very challenging.
I should get some sleep, though I don't feel like I want to.

Soon
I'm going nuts.
I'm going mad.
I'm going out of my mind.
Oh no...
They all have the same meaning.
Fine..
Here's the different one.
I'm going out of here.
Maybe not now.
Not this very second.
But I'm 100% sure.
It's gonna be very
SOON.
Stupid Morning News
think again.
If you think that's the good idea, then give me that damn tasks and stop being ridiculous!
Don't you think waking up every morning and not knowing what to do at the office won't kill me?
It's killing me!
Aaaarrrgh!
Auditory
I can't stand bad lines, with bad voices.
I can't stand bad words, with bad tones.
My ears are too sensitive.
I am an auditory person.
That's why I love earphone, earplug, good music, and silence.
Alexis Gosselin once said this when she tried to comfort her sick mom,
"I yike peace, and quiet, and
hot chocoyate"
And I couldn't agree with that 4 years-old girl more.
Oh, how I miss watching them and hearing their cute voices... :(
Kosakata Kantor
"Nnis... kamu kan copy writer... coba apa arti 'RESS'???"
Seisi ruangan tertawa terbahak-bahak. Sementara saya memasang tampang 'tak terjadi apa-apa' alias tampang datar sambil selintas melihat ekspresi bos saya yang tersenyum lebar sambil tetap menatap layar komputernya.
"Saya orang Indonesia, mbak.." sambung saya lagi.
Dania kemudian langsung menimpali... "RESS!!!"
Hahahahahahaha...
16th Thing: A Song That Makes Me Cry (or Nearly)
I remember I was on my way to a wedding reception with the whole family. Out of sudden, the radio played this song.
That day was the first week after my good friend, Tya, passed away. I remember I couldn't help crying all the way to the reception. Even after the song stopped. The whole family member let me cry my heart out without saying a word.
I was missing her too much that moment.
It's been over 5 years since she's been gone, and I still feel the bitter sweet feeling whenever I hear the song.

14th Thing: A Non-Fictional Book
This book got me thrilled, mad, and even prayed for Chaplain Yee.
“My story is a warning to all people here in the country that the current approach to waging war on terrorism from within our own borders is truly a threat to civil liberties.”
13th Thing: A Fictional Book
The greatest fictional book / children book ever written.
Deep, smart, yet sweet, thoughtful and funny.

10th Thing: A Photo Of Me Taken Over 10 Years Ago
I think this photo was taken in 1995.
What I love about this photo is that the three of us (me, Fina, and Ari) looked not similar to each other. We didn't look like siblings, hahaha.
Ari looked totally Caucasian. Fina looked Mongoloid. While, I looked like a mixed of Malay-Caucasian.
That time, no one would believe we were born from the same parents :D

4th Thing: My Favorite Book
Enid Blyton was the first author I know and she was one of the most successful children's storytellers of the twentieth century. I adore her.
When I read the first copy of her book, I thought (as a 6 years old) she was a kid, just like me. I wanted to have bunnies come out from the wall paper and play with me. I wanted to have the enchanted umbrella. I wanted to play with the clockwork kangoroo. I thought Enid Blyton was a very lucky little girl!
Now, being a 23 years old, I am keeping these books for me and and my future children. I want them to be able to read great stories like I did.
My life on the wwwworld
I have... hmm.. let me count.
I had Friendster account, and got it disabled.
I have Facebook account for friends, family, and colleagues. Strangers are not allowed. I don't add people randomly, and I don't like to make new friends on Facebook. I have once wrote about it. But if you still want to know why, it's simply because Facebook, for me, is for reconnecting my relationship with them.
I have Multiply account. It's my home. And yeah, guest may visit but I won't let them stay until midnight. Only certain people are allowed to spend nights at my house, and they are, you, my friends. :D
When people started to tweet, I didn't, and still don't. Updating status can be done on my Facebook. Oh well... hahahahaha.
Just yesterday, I found this interesting network called Formspring.me. I like the idea of "Ask me anything" so I signed up. The first 3 questions were automatically questioned by them. Then? *...*
Today, I signed up for Tumblr. I have visited so many Tumblr sites and inspired. People on Tumblr speaks up. It's a wordplay world. From the cheesy line, to the 'wow' line. And when I figured out that Tumblr now has a feature exactly like Formspring.me, I disabled myFormspring.me account. Well, it's not enough having only one feature, although it's very interesting.
So, what will I do with my Tumblr? I'll be a promiscuous blogger there. Blog and re-blog.
Got it? No? Bye then~ Hahahahahahaha.

Pink, Black, Red, White, WHAT THE HELL!
Misalnya gini..
Jane Doe: pink.
Oh wow.
That is just stupid, girls. Unbelievably cheapo...
WHY GOD, WHY??? hahahahahahahahaha...
Wow..
...
Kehabisan kata-kata...
Benar-benar sulit dipercaya.
BUAT APAAAAAAA COBAAAAAA??
*sigh*
Memang, mental orang Indonesia cuma mental "ikut-ikut"...
Haah... gagal nonton film perang jadi nyampah deh, haahahahaha..
3rd Thing: My Favorite TV Show
I love FRIENDS. Well, who doesn't? Hahahahaha...
It's my #1 mood booster. I could spend a whole day curl up on couch watching any episode of Friends. I can't never pick my favorite character because for me they're all great and hilarious.
Friends might be the only TV shows that I could careless about. I mean, they did awesome. It's done perfectly until the season finale. No complain. Just sit back, watch and laugh as loud as I can. Easy and always makes me happy.

2nd Thing: My Favorite Movie
I couldn't get enough of it. I have watched more than 5 times and still loving it.
I love each character. From the main fish to the supporting whale. I even love the plankton!!
And "Nemo" is such a cute name, very adorable, ear-catchy and easy to remember. I told my mom once, "I want to name my son after Nemo," and she just giggled. I said "seriously," and she walked away. Hahahahaha.

Hampir 3 bulan

Why do we shout when we get angry?
It reminds me of my own blog about how we should (or it might be best if I refer to myself) manage anger.
One day, a professor asked his students ‘Why do we SHOUT instead of speak when we are ANGRY?’
All the students thought for a while. One answered ‘Because we lost our cool. That’s why we SHOUT.’
Asked the professor again, ‘But the person is just right next to you, why can’t we talk softly but have to SHOUT?’
Everyone gave their opinions but none was accepted by the professor.
Lastly explained by the professor ‘When we are ANGRY, our hearts drift apart. To mask the DISTANCE we felt, we instinctively SHOUT instead of speak so the other party can hear us.’
‘But as we SHOUT, we get ANGRIER. And we felt we drift apart further. So we SHOUT even louder…’
‘It is the opposite when we are in love. Not only we do not shout, we whisper into each other ears. Why?’
‘This is because our hearts are very close, almost never apart. As our love deepen, we reach a state of communication where there is no need for words.’
‘We understand each other well enough just by exchanging look,’ concluded the professor.
‘Therefore, when we are arguing, DO NOT speak words that will make our hearts drift apart. WAIT a few days. When you feel your hearts are no longer far apart, pick up the conversation and continue from there.
So for me, it is still a long journey to be on that point of controlled anger. I don't shout much when I get angry, instead I shut myself but still I look terribly angry. But reading that story could be a good reminder for me. How about you?

Baaaddddd Day
Mau detilnya? Oke...
Wardrobe nnisa: polo shirt off white, cargo hijau tua (hijau army), sneakers putih andalan.
Wardrobe OB: kemeja off white, celana bahan ijo.
GREAT.
GREAT.
GREAT.
Kenapa harus dijemput? Kan tadi udah bilang bakal pulang sendiri, entah naik apa... naik D15 juga gampang, kalo males jalan ke terminal bisa naik taksi. Kenapa?
Udah.
Game over. Jagoannya mati.

If I were...
You may leave now, really. This is not important. But if you like to do your own version, let me know. Yes, I want to read your own version. Why? Have I told you why I did this in the first line? :P
If I were a month, I’d be October, just because it's the month that I was born on.
If I were a day of the week, I’d be Friday and happy for tomorrow :D
If I were a time of day, I’d be 07.00, awake but not sleepy.

If I were a tree, I’d be a lemon tree. People can make a jug of lemonade out of me, haha.
If I were a tool, I'd be a kitchen tool: balloon stainless steel whisk.
If I were a flower, I’d be white lily.

If I were a scent, I’d be freshly baked cookies.
If I were an object, I’d be a paper.
If I were a body part, I’d be eyes.
If I were a facial expression, I’d be a smile.
If I were a song, I’d be an everlasting children song.
If I were a pair of shoes, I’d be sneakers that won't hurt anyone's feet.

The Ego Has Landed
Zero toleration.
Never ending argument.
No solution.
I need air.
I need to go from all of this.
I need this to be done instantly, simultaneously!
Tired.
Tired.
Tired.
But we've come this far.
Would you quit?
I would.
I WOULD LOVE TO QUIT.
I don't want to sacrifice anything over this stupidity.
So let's call it quit!
Or just take it.
Take it as it is.
This is not about the wedding!!!
This is about the marriage.
And they got married anyway!
Don't you get it????
